How To Backup Your iPhone Homescreen Theme: Settings, Layout, Folders, Wallpaper and MobileSubstrate Configuration

There is a new jailbreak app available in Cydia which allows you to take backups of your iPhone’s springboard theme, which includes: user settings, layout, wallpaper, MobileSubstrate configuration, hidden apps and folders. You can then restore to your favorite saved theme with exact layout and settings in a matter of just seconds.

Easily backup your home screen with BackBoard. Ever wished you could set up a theme and never have to do it again? Well now you can! With BackBoard, you can easily switch between multiple Springboard backups with a tap of your fingertips. Never bother with taking hours to set up the most complex themes. BackBoard creates a backup of all: User settings, home screen layout, MobileSubstrate configuration, hidden apps, webclips, home screen wallpaper and folders.

You will, of course, need to have a jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch to install it.

    Default BackBoard Backup

BackBoard does a great job,it's a very nice application, unfortunately is not complete, in case of re-jailbreak and you need to do a complete backup with xBackUp and iTunes application or PKG or any other you want... you going to find out that you never going to get back all your themes, while you will get back all your Cydia material, apps and tweaks and even Dreamboard themes but NOT for all THEMES in BACKBOARD. We all hope a solution to the problem will come out sooner rather then later. I have lost 50 themes after a re-Jailbreal and it took me couple of days to re-install all of them.
