Hi from a total iPhone newbie :)

I travel a lot and would like to use my 3G iPhone abroad. But I am kind of afraid how safe is this, I mean can I lose something, some functions of my iPhone when I unlock it with a hardware sim unlock?
I need some fast answers :)

None that I've heard, just don't use any method that requires any sort of cutting of the sim.

Hi Jiggs, as far as I know you cant dammage your iphone with any simcard. But I also suppose you should choose a sim which does not involve any cutting of your card. You can see how it works here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylyT_5P3z74
There is nothing to be afraid really :)

It is safe , don't worry. Its just a small sim card that you insert between your iphone and your simcard. Nothing bad can happen to you phone :)

Yes, but be careful when you plug the SIM tray in or out. It can sometimes get jammed specially with TurboSIM as its been verified.
Which also requires to cut your SIM.
