    lua is a programming language used to create homebrew apps/games. It will not work on your PSP 3000 with 6.30 OFW.

    If you don't know what lua is, it is a programming language. it is verry simple. it isn't the best to use but it does everything i like so i just stuck with it...
    It requires homebrew enabled psp

    Hi 10$man, I've been working on this homebrew game called "Learn Japanese" and I get requested a lot to implement Japanese text in my game. Right now I'm currently using lua Player Euphoria v8 but I can't figure out how to display Japanese characters with intrafont. I read that LuaPlayerHM v2 is able to do it but at the moment I'm not really in the mood to switch over and rewrite the code. If you know how please enlighten me thanks.

    it's my first time trying to hack my psp. i'm the 3rd owner. bought before 2008 i believe. is a psp slim. no clue on the motherboard numbers or anything like that. i don't know much about computer talk or ofw, xmb or any of that stuff. like i said just starting lol hence the name. i have a psp with ofw 6.30 right now. i'd like if i could find someone that can actually walk me through all of this word for word. like in a chat or something so i can ask questions or if i get stuck. any help i will take though thank you.

    Default Sure

    yeah i can help you.
    first let me show you common terminology

    ofw = official firmware (psp's original stuff)
    cfw = custom firmware (What you want )
    pb = pandoras battery
    mms = magic memory stick
    homebrew = Homemade games
    iso = A umd image
    cso = compressed umd image
    umd = universal media disc (what games that you buy come on)

    As long as you have a hackable psp 2000 and a pandoras battery
    if you need to know what a pandoras battery is i am going to explain

    The PSP, by default, will boot from internal memory. So there is no way to put another firmware on there, because when you plug the usb in your seeing the memory stick not the psp's internal memory. the psp is also programmed to not play homebrew (Home made apps) so you couldnt load it in through there. And then came the pandoras battery! This battery can be made 2 ways. Anyways this battery tells the EEEPROM (I am pretty sure...) to boot from the external memory aka your magic memory stick ( il explain more later). then you load up and install.

    a magic memory stick is just a bootable memory stick. (these can easily be made with rain's ultra lite mms maker, just google it)

    Just ask if you need to know anything else

    And i would be happy to help you along your way

    I am not sure but i am trying this
    http://translate.google.com/#en|ja|Hello%2C%20World
    copy and paste the results of a google translate into the screen:print "こんにちは、世界"
    see if that works.
    [edit] nevermind i tried it and it doesn't work [edit]

    btw if anyone wants to join my (soon to be) group $s aka Dollars
    PM me with the following
    >reason for joining
    >estimated skill
    >a piece of work (doesn't have to be much but don't send me hello world!)
    >what you are good at (input, grfx, etc)
    >additional info
    thanks

    hi 10$man, i just signed up here.

    I have a psp 3000 and it is on 5.03 mhu.

    I'm trying to get ps1 games to be played on it and i wonder if you could help me out on which specific programs to be use to play ps1 games on my 3000 mhu.

    I have a rip copy of the ps1 game, Kamen Rider Ryuki game, one of the best!

    but i don't know which program to use to convert into an EBOOT file and how to work it in my psp.

    Hope you can help on this, thankQ in advance.
