true on the drive good thing its an autofeed, im gonna buy some plexi this weekend and see what i can do with it. Ive taken the ps3 completely apart even down to the mobo, so the only problem im seeing is connecting the ends of the plexi together but ill figure sumthing out if i decide to finish it.

Ive seen some videos on youtube of people putting LED's on their fan.... How smart is that?! You would never see the fan and all it would like is missed placed LED's by the factory. If anything i would cut a circle out of the case on the bottom where the fan is then then replace it with clear plastic and put leds around the circle on the outside of the plastic to give it a nice little ring. Then put two LED's where my memory card slot is and rig it so when you open it up the LED's come on automatically. Then put LED's where my disc slot is. And maybe some on the bottom below the memory card slot and disc slot and on and off button... but im not sure about that. Dont want to over do it lol

yea an actually the ps3 power supply is very unreliable tho, so with the new case it would be easy to add an external power supply. I am actually looking forward to this and have a few ideas on how to fasten the sides together so this could be interesting to say the least.

to many leds mentioned for my liking, thats the first thing people think of leds's being done to death now

Its like im staring at the sun! Thats something we both can agree on. But with a complete clear case only a few leds placed were the light is distributed over the surface area would look amazing. So far heres my ideas

1) go with a similar design to the ps3
2) the top or main panel of the case would have the ps3 logo etched in for the frost look
3) a chrome look around some of the edges and usb ports
4) 2 fans running off the same external power supply with a 3 way toggle switch in the rear( nicely hidden and small) cant make it look dumb now.

I start today, I have a parts list and a 6 pack in the firdge for when all goes bad. Any suggestions or ideas is welcome, and if you wanna call me crazy start
those comments now. It will give me something to read later.

my suggestions that numbers 1 - 4 are GREAT exactly how i would do it, maybe when you finished id get you to do mine ;)

well i started sat and got side tracked all weekend. I'm hoping i can finish by the end of the week. so far not too bad either altho i think i can make it look better if i had a few better tools and work space.
