    Default multiMAN source code released!

Deank has finally decided to release the PS3 source code for his multiMAN project which is hosted by Google code. Like most Backup Managers out there this started out as a mod of the first Open Manager v1.0 which was released anonymously with source code over at elotrolado.net back in September 2010. Since then Deank has constantly updated multiMAN which is now one of the most feature packed Backup Managers available. In the spirit of open source (when using other peoples code) this release is long overdue, but we're happy he finally came around."

I have question why source code are release. What is the point of this?

There is no problem that cannot be fixed, you're just too stupid to fix it.
I hate you for being so serious. :-)

When you use someone elses code, you have to release what you changed. Unless the code you wrote is 100% your own, you are stealing it by not releasing it.
It gives others an opportunity to expand on the work you have done, or to learn.

Multiman came from the source of Open Manager, which should have answered your question; as it was stated in the post; "Like most Backup Managers out there this started out as a mod of the first Open Manager v1.0 which was released anonymously with source code"

That's why it's nice to have it; a foundation for someone who can take things further, and does, hence Open Manager to MultiMAN.
