Play ps2 game on ps3 slim
Hi
I had been looking for ps2 data in store but cant find. Could any one help to tell as to how can i play ps2 game on ps3 3.61. Thank

ps3 slims CAN NOT PLAY PS2 GAMES
PSP 1.5 got on USA first day is was 1.5 NOW 4.01 M33-2 ->
5.00 M33-6(1.50 addon),
Old PS3s: PS3 60GB FW:3.41(2nd ps3

New PS3:
Slim 160gb 01-21-2011 Working
was 3.40 OFW->3.60 OFW
2nd PSP : PHAT 5.50 GEN-D2
3rd PSP : Sliver 3000 Starting OFW:4.20 (NEW bought NEW on 11/28/2010)
It a good idea to have "
Hide extensions for known file types" in Folder Options(under Tool) unchecked (turn on extensions)

ohh so complete waste to buy ps2 games as i wanted to play 2 player on need for speed pro as ps3 need for speed dont have 2 player gamin.. sony is gettin silly

Worth noting;
You can get PS2 games running on non-backwards compatible PS3s by downgrading them to 2.60 or lower then doing a trick.
The thing is though, in order for PS3s to downgrade to an older firmware they need to have been on that firmware already at some point.
and newer models come with newer firmware versions pre-installed all the time, so slims won't work for that reason.
The trick uses a work-in-progress official PS2 emulator someone found hidden in the firmware version, the emulator is gone on the 2.70 firmware and onwards.

The Cobra-USB Dongle can re-enables the old PS2 Emulator in 3.41 Consoles (Slim or Phat)
But it is buggy , Slow and the compatability sucks.
It is much better to find an original Backwards compatible PS3 and use the Cobra-USB dongle to enable PS2 ISO loading.
