Default Cinavia NOT working on this movie...why?

    Hi all,

I believe Fast and Furious 5 has Cinavia crap on it. I tested one and found out the hard way. That's in the audio, right? Why does THIS one play on my PS3 without any problem?

I'm not sure if I can show a link about this so I'll just post the details:

    Genre - Action | Crime | Drama
    Year- 2011
    IMDb Link - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1596343/
    Size - 704 mb
    Length - 02:05:17
    Video - XviD
    Resolution - 720x372/ 30 fps/
    Audio Language - English
    Audio - MP3 /128 Kbps
    Subs - BULGARIAN

    Vin Diesel ... Dominic Toretto
    Paul Walker ... Brian O'Conner
    Jordana Brewster ... Mia
    Tyrese Gibson ... Roman
Ludacris ... Tej (as Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges)
    Matt Schulze ... Vince
    Sung Kang ... Han
    Gal Gadot ... Gisele
    Tego Calderon ... Leo
    Don Omar ... Santos
    Joaquim de Almeida ... Reyes
    Dwayne Johnson ... Hobbs (voice)

I don't see what's different about the audio for the Cinavia not to get it's teeth into it...don't get me wrong I'm delighted, if I knew why it wasn't working in this one I'd go THAT way...

As I say I've already tried a copy of that movie a while back and then got the message...just yesterday I got a better version for my laptop....and copied it on my PS3 today for backup...and I waited ages but no message....but it is on that film...I thought no audio workarounds existed? converting/formats/etc.... hmm. I should say almost all of the CAMS in the cinema now that I've tried have it....many disappointments on the PS3...

It says PPVRIP Xvid...I'm not sure if I've got any more of them...is it the format? I just don't get it.

Right, the PS3 cannot detect the Cinavia watermark in DTS.

    What Does PPV Stand For?
PPVRips are Pay-Per-View videos which have been recorded from Hotel rooms. PPVRip is a Pay-Per-View video source.

    Where Do PPVRip’s Come From?
PPVRips are said to have come from Pay-Per-View sources, but what is interesting is that all these releases are brand new movies which have not yet been released to Screener or DVD but are available to view by Hotel customers.

Which Hotel’s have these movies? Which country are they being shown in? How are they available before any other source?
These are common questions for which we have no answers yet. This is a brand new source and there is not much information regarding how these movies are commercially available. The PPVRip’s that are currently available on the internet are brand new releases, which have only recently left the theater and are the first source available for each of the releases.

It seems these movies are a promotional VHS-Screener source, but do not have any time codes or studio watermarks like normal Screener releases, this is the main difference between these two types of releases.
We hope to have some more information on PPVRip’s as time goes on, the first of these was only released 2 days ago and there has been a scouple of PPVRip’s since by STG group, who seems to be the only group with a PPV source at the moment.
It all depends on the source

Yep - just found that myself - the source of that one is a pay-per-view source...so they get a diff. version than the rest of us? Then there's avchds. Good to know!

i only download avchd's because i want to have subs with my movies, and with tsmuxer it is easy to add subs to it , but most avchd's i download allready have dutch subs anyway.

downside is, you only can have one on an external hdd or usb stick, but is usually don't watch movies again.
