Is it really worth it??

I havent been on here in a while and I just got a 40GB PS3 that had a YLoD (that I fixed myself) it has firmware 3.15 and I was wondering if it is really worth losing any chance of getting on PSN and possible brick to have CFW on the PS3
so can you people help me decide this

if it has gone YLoD and been repaired it will happen again. I would say get another for online and experiment with the 40.

I have a 250GB that I mainly use for everything thats why I was asking if hacking this PS3 is really worth it because of the possible brick, PERMAban from PSN, and then sony is really pressing down on anybody with a hacked PS3

don't get online with the hacked one.
Brick is possible but it will YLoD again, only a matter of time.
May as well have fun with it while you can.

technically nobody needs a PS3 but the slim would be the one I "need" more
and usually the only reason it YLoD's is because it overheats so in theory all I have to do is make sure it stays cool right?
