Forget iso anything. Backup managers do not run isos. That, and you don't burn discs to computers, no matter how hard you try.

so do i backup the game from the ps3 itself? what does ftp have to do with it if im not burning on a computer?

You cannot burn anything. Forget burning. The PS3 runs special discs called "Blueray", these discs are expensive and cannot be obtained from your local store. The ftp server simply transfers a game from your computer to your PS3.

Staples has carried BD-RWs since the BD was introduced.
Still though, none of the backup managers read burned copies, they all read off of internal or external HDDs.

By local store I didn't mean Staples or any other name brand giant.
But of course, you always have to prove me wrong in every single post.

That's if you downloaded them from the Interwebs like a dirty, dirty pirate.
You use a backup manager to backup your game from the BD to your PS3's HDD. If you wish you can then use FTP to move them over to your computer for storage.

Why in the world would you mean that? Your statement implied that it would be difficult if not impossible to find BD-R/Rws but if you really meant that you simply wouldn't be able to find them at mom & pop shops but you may be able to find them at a "name brand giant" then you didn't really say anything since nearly all shopping in the US is done at "name brand giant" stores. It's like saying "You won't be able to find them where you wouldn't be shopping anyway." That just sounds like back-pedaling after being proven wrong.

Only when you're really wrong!
Besides, you always freak out when someone corrects you. It's like teasing my little sister.

@hamtah BD discs are not uncommon. Maybe you live in a third world country but you can probably use your CC to find some.
@joelrockstar19 stick your game in your PS3 and play it. It's not hard.
