Help loading games when upgrading from 3.41 with dongle to 3.55 kmeaw
I've been around the hacking scene for a while now, started with my psp etc and then when the ps3 was hacked I used my n900 to jailbreak it, then when I sold that I got a dongle, however, custom firmware was released a few days after I got my dongle.
So, I took the plunge and upgraded to 3.55 with kmeaw, everything was fine, however, I can't play my old backups... I don't have the original disks to backup them again because my brother is at university in Scotland and he's taken them.
I know that replacing the eboot and param.sfo files with the originals should enable you to play them, however, the games I have backed up have a different folder structure to the folder structure everywhere talks about, ie, there's the ps3_game folder, update folder etc. The only folder my games have is the usrdir one, so I'm left with no idea what to do... Multiman and Gaia manager don't even find the backups, I've tried putting them in the GAMEZ folder, GAMES, game and BD Rips, to no avail.
SO as a last resort, I'm reaching out for help! How can I sort this mess out? I know how to obtain the original eboots and .sfo's, but I don't know where to put them because my folder structures are different and my game managers won't even recognise the games

The usrdir folder is the one you need anyway. Just open it up and the eboot.bin and param.sfo files should be in there.

So if I put the eboot and the param in there it should be okay and should theoretically show up in game managers?
Thanks!
Auto-Merge: Right, stuck again
I've done what was suggested, I now can get the games to show in multiman if I put the USRDIR inside a folder named PS3_GAME and put the original eboot inside that. When it kicks me back to the XMB the game disc shows unsupported data, so then I edited the sfo and changed the data type to HG, that still didn't work.
Any suggestions?

try putting the game folder that is usually named BLUSXXXXX or BLESXXXX and put them in HDD/GAMES/BLXSXXXX. Also in multiman, if your press I think it is R1, you can load the eboot.bin file. But if it keeps coming up corrupted, it could be a bad rip.

Thanks for your advice gregerson316, however this is the setup I usually have. I've tried it with Assassin's creed 2 and GTA IV and they're both rips of my original games and I've played them as backups so I know they work, however, with Assassins Creed I got unsupported disc and with GTA IV at first I got corrupted and after a little more work I managed to get the launcher image to show up, but when I click on it it says "This disc cannot be started" :/
I've tried them on the internal and on my external, got multiple different eboots and edited the sfo's to HG, DG and GD, and HG is the only one that'll show the game launcher image for GTA IV. I've also tried booting them directly from the eboot.bin in Multiman, and tried select+x to launch without going to the XMB, but neither have worked

If by clean you mean getting the original eboot.bin then I've done that, can't seem to locate any original sfo's though... But, if by clean you mean they need to be fresh rips, then I'm screwed :\

Ryu's right, they need to be clean, fresh rips. So I guess you are kinda screwed.

You've always got the three Rs: rent, rip and return.
