    Hey all,

I have a question about how new releases that require the 1.51 or above firmware react when played for the 1st time on a 1.0 or 1.5 system.

(And I'm aware that at this point it's just Coded Arms in the US.)

Do they simply STATE that they can't run without the upgrade and prompt you to find a wi-fi access point to upgrade from?

    OR

Do they contain the upgrade ON UMD and does it prompt or force the upgrade at first attempt to play?

Thanks in advance for an answer.

Okay, so if I'm understanding this correctly...

The game tells you that you need to plug the AC in to upgrade the firmware?

And the new firmware upgrades from the UMD game (Coded Arms)?

Coded Arms DOES NOT require you to upgrade to 1.51 or 1.52, only 1.5. So if you have an American PSP, you're safe and it's only 1.5 regardless.

    Thanks for the info!!

    Hooray!

I'm sure the next wave of games will squash the 1.5 encryption though.
