    Hello,

I'm just getting into soccer and I'm looking for a good game to play. I really like football manager handheld 2007 but I'd like to be able to play the games as well as manage the team.

I like Fifa 08 but let's say if I'm playing with FC Barcelona, I can only compete in La Liga and not in the UEFA Champions Cup. Plus, it doesn't contain National Teams or the World Cup. Is there a game that will allow me to do all of these?

    Thanks for your help

I love, and still play Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 on my PSP. I have just always preferred them over Fifa, which is good in its own way i suppose, just never appealed to me personally. Check out a review on IGN. Ack... haven't played this in a month or so, and re-reading that has me wanting to again =P

PES2008 is out in Europe on the 26th of October for 360/PS2/PC/PSP and then October 28th for DS , not sure about a US release just yet. =(

PES is the best apart from the fact it has crap commentry on ps2 american commentry sounds wrong and the psp one has no commentary it really makes the game dull, but defintley the best footie game around

Yeah, agreed there Exiled. Lack of Commentary (ESPECIALLY after Goals) is so noticeable at first, after a while though you kinda, sadly, are able to forget about it. Still the best. I haven't read much on 2008, but i do think that commentary is back, just not THE Commentator.

jarem.. ok alright? lol piracy is a crime. just kiddin do what you want.

Fifa 08 is a great game for multiplayer with infrastruture support.

Of course if its single play you could play pes. Which imo, should be played on the pc or consoles.
