Default so its true about Jade Cocoon :(

so ive heard all over the net that jade cocoon for psx, my favorite game, freezes at a certain point in the second dungeon. i always assumed the point where it froze was only optional and you could walk around it to complete the dungeon. turns out its actually a doorway leading to a boss that drops a key. it sucks. theres no other way in to that key. the key allows you to move on through the game.
so jade cocoon really is unplayable for now... what luck... it had to be THAT path of all paths.
well theres always monster hunter and, besides, we all have a tollerance to each particular game, even if it is our favorite. so ill give jade cocoon a rest.

Cut the 180 byte header off the save file load it up as an mcr on a pc emulator and get passed that point. Then either use the cheat device to load the mcr up or get someone who can write it to a ps1 card then ps3 and back to psp since u need a valid header back on the file to use it again only two methods i know of.

CWCheat can take care of it.
I forgot most of the details.
    Done it once, long ago.

Basically, you load up the game, and in CWCheat, use the Memory Card Manager.
There'll be an option "Save Memory Card (#) to Memory Stick".
Use that, and it will copy the PSX Virtual Memory Card file to "/seplugins/cwcheat/mc/"
Import that Memory Card file into EPSXE, and continue your game.
Get past wherever the game crashes, and save again.
Copy the Memory Card file back to your PSP, launch up the game, load CWCheat, and enter the Memory Card Manager again.
Use the "Load Memory Card (#) to Memory Stick" option this time, and you'll be able to load your game save from the Memory Card now.
You'll have to save the game again to actually save over your actual save.

If I'm wrong anywhere, correct me. XD

which version of CWcheat is suitable for PSPgo 6.20 TN-D?
and would a save file originating from ePSXe be of any use?

Whatever the latest one is will work.
And, yeah. You can import your .MCR file, and load it into CWCheat.

its not working. i put the .prx in seplugins/cwcheat with the .db database file and made a line for the .prx in GAME150.TXT and GAME.TXT. tried in MHP3 and nothing happened while holding select button.
