ATRAC3 is used for audio in menu icons... for actual music I would stick 2 mp3...

to make an atrac audio file you need the codec and sony sound forge...

    please search for more details...

Thanks, but doesn't ATRAC have better compressions and sound quality at lower bitrates? Especially the new ATRAC3

WHAO! Where the hell did u hear that!! They are MUCH smaller files, but the are complete crap compared to an MP3! Atrac are very shitty quality and compressed files designed just to save space. Trust me, u want MP3s.

Sound FOrge sucks, it can't even save the file in a dot .at3 format. Any ideas on how to do so? So that I can put it into a PBP.

sorry man, Sound forge is one hell of a great program,
I lot of studio's work with it.
.at3 is not a studio quality format so that's why it can't save the file.
    I'm back!

Even when I do rename the file manually to .AT3 and put it into the EBOOT.PBP. The PSP still doesn't seem to recognize it. There must be something I am doing wrong.

Here is what I am doing.

I save the mp3 I want as a .WAV in the ATRAC3 format at 66kbps. Then I rename the file to SND0.AT3.

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?!? Atrac3 has lower bitrate but it sounds 10 times better than mp3. Thats why its so protected.
