Just out of curiosity ... is there any demand for a piece of hardware that would convert a USB device (iPod , keydrive, etc) to memory stick output to plug into your PSP? So , for example , instead of buying a 1gb memory stick u could carry around your iPod with 40gb of information on it ... or ur keydrive ...

    any demand?

Nope, no demand what so ever. Why would you want to buy a 300gb external usb harddrive when you can get a 2gb pro duo for the same price?

im sorry to disafree with mahan, but i think that would be a sweet feature. my ipod is 20gb and small at that. Being able to connect my psp up to it and load/view data from it would kick ass. Imagine, all your vids/isos/etc all at your figer tips. :) I encourage the idea, i would buy the device.

yes that would be a great idea but why with ipod....you can buy a 40gig external for like less than 100bucks why woulg yo spend 300buck for and 40gig ipod if you could do the same with an external 40gig

Some people might want that. Maybe not 300GB but imagine having ALL your MP3s on a drive and you can keep that with you on a long trip and have your entire collection. Plus ALL your ISOs and ALL your videos!

    Let's see a 2GB stick do that!

I want it. Badly. Unfortunately, I must wait for the Team X solution. I don't have money to blow on a hardrive.

What is the Team X solution if I may ask?

And I am just curious because its something that is being discussed for development ... it would be a relatively simple device - does the same as any card to usb reader , except reversed.

The more interest that gets generated , the more likely it is to be developed

Oh - and the response to a 'why iPod' , no reason . it was just an example . hard drives would theoretically be fine too . Only thing is some externals need to be plugged in (although i dont think all do) and a lot of people might already have ipods

But again , it was just an example . Ive got a 500gb external that i would love to run into my psp for when im AFK . But then again ive also got a 40gb ipod that wouldnt be bad either

Ah - never mind . It seems Team X is already on top of exactly what we were planning on creating ...

... but then what , if I may ask , is going to happen now that Team X is upset about people claiming the PSPX rolls back firmware? Any news on how close it is to being developed? How much it will cost? When and where it will be available?
