    Im sure a lot of you already know how to do this, but just in case , i figured id share it with those of you who may not.

    If you want to change your PSP drive icon in Windows XP so it looks like a PSP just open regedit and add or change the following key

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerDriveIconsXDefaultIcon

    Where "X" is the Drive letter of your PSP

    and add the Value

    (default) = "C:Windowspsp.ico"

    Where "C:Windowspsp.ico" is the location of the Icon.

    here are some PSP icons

    http://seamonkey420.tech-recipes.com...re/pspicon.zip

    Granted there is other ways that include having the PSP icon and an Autorun file on the Memory Stick, but for those who dont want any extra files on the Memory Stick, this lil trick works

    Regards,
    Psiko Studios

    cool, that's pretty neat.

    i was wondering, can you also do that with an autorun.ini file located on
    the memory stick? i ask because my drive letters change frequently (my
    psp goes from being h: to k: to j: each boot). i saw that method listed
    somewhere but i couldn't get it to work. maybe i missed something.

    thanks for the info.

    or put the icon file in the root directory of the psp and make an autorun to be icon=psp.ico and now no matter what computer u plug it into this psp.ico file u have in root directory will be the icon for the drive

    open notepad or another basic text file editor.

    Code:
     [autorun]
    icon=psp.ico
    be sure to name it autorun.inf

    then find the .ico file u want to be displayed and put it with that.

    should look like this when ur done

    then when u disconnect and reconnect ur psp (or any other removable media) it will look like this.

    *note my .ico and autorun have the hidden attrubute so i dont have to look at them when i open the folder up

    that is what happened to me, too. that's why i wanted to know if i was
    missing something obvious.

    @krazylilrocker777,
    you probably have windows set to hide file extensions for known file types,
    which can be a huge pain if you want to hack away at anything. it makes
    changing file extensions (like .txt to .inf) a major hassle. to stop windows
    from hiding file extensions (in case you don't already know), open up a
    folder, and choose tools, folder options, view...
    then scroll down and find where it says 'hide extensions for know file types'
    and uncheck the box. but, this method doesn't seem to work for some
    people (me and TALL_GUY, at least)
