    Hi guys,

I know this may be frustrating to many but trust me I followed the guide on how to put movies on psp and did exactly what it said and I cannot see the movie in my video folder on the psp. I know I am messing up somewhere which is very minor and that is why I am asking for help please don't flame.

I am using 2.0 firmware and was told by the person I bought the psp from that i can transfer mp4 movies but not games. i would need 1.5 firmware for games. At the moment I want to transfer the mp4 movie which I have that was already converted to the psp video format and I already had the mp_root directory created in my root folder and within I have 2 files that are called 100ANV01 and 100MNV01 and I am putting the mp4 into the 100MNv01 folder and when I go back to the psp it says no videos found. What am I doing wrong.

    Please help me out guys.

    Thanks in advance

Dont use the 100MNV01 folder that is for 1.00 - 1.52 firmware.
Use the other folder. Also did you put them in the MP_ROOT folder ?

yes the MP_ROOT folder was already created as soon as i press x on usb connection and i have 2 folders: MP_ROOT and PSP folders. Within the MP_ROOT Folder i have 2 folders that I mentioned above that are 100.....and the rest. So I should put the mp4 file in the other folder which is 100ANV01?

Thanks for that quick reply and keep em coming guys.

    Didn't work Joe :(.

I formatted my mem stick as well and the MP_ROOT folder was already created. I have been reading on many guides that tells you to create it yourself but mine is already created unless I have to create it again.

Very confused, can you shed some more light on this please.

    Thanks again

What converter are you using ?
If its psp video 9 then try psp video express instead.

It came converted and it is in MP4 format already with 399mb in size. I am sorry but what is PSP video express?? Is it a prog that i have to download onto psp to make it work???

Also, if I downgraded to 1.5 would it then play both games and movies from the stick? I would love to have games on mem stick too. Just curious to see how it all works.

Thanks for your patience bud :)

If it came like that already then theres something wrong with it.

PSP Video Express is a converter used to convert movies / vids that arent in MP4 format into them. Like WMV, AVI, ect...

forgot to mention one thing, do I need to put the title of the movie as M4V12345.MP4 for it to recognize? I was using the actual name of the movie at first when I was copying and pasting from my pc hdd to the psp folder. Trying it now to see if it works.
