Probably about 2. You must use the DVD2PSP software.

Yea, about 2 or 3 depending on the bitrate you choose for the movies. Depends how long the movies and how good you want them too look.
I keep the rate around 300/sec with 29 frames. Looks pretty clear to me. Be sure to BOOST (150-185%) the volume though. Average volume from most all programs SucK.

Easy DVD 2 divx/VCD/SVCD Pro works well on some DVD's.

With dvd copyrights always changing and them being different on most all movies you'll most always be searching for different programs to rip dvd's or at least getting a program that frequently updates itself.

Oh yea. Some other programs to use. Some cost money, but if you know where to search then u can get them.

    - Xilisoft PSP video converter - (money)
    - VEMoDe - Video Encoder for MObile DEvices (grabs .vob files as a whole movie, and love the advanced options. Doesnt work with all movies though) It's also FREE.
    - PSPvideo9 - (free, and a classic)
    - PSP Movie Creator - (money) not popular, generic, but works with .vob files
    - Nero Recode 2 - (money) Works fast, good quality, very FEW options. Not many programs will reconvert its output file because it uses a special NERO Digital .mp4 codec. whatever.
    - DVD decrypter - (money) will place the movie onto your harddrive, from there im sure you can edit it further, Havent messed with it much though.

Im sure there's more out there. always is.

DVD Decrypter is Free! and all it does is remove Macrovision from a DVD
while transferring it to your psp.

which program is the best to use tho
im currently using dvd decryptor to rip the dvd and pspvideo9 to convert and the quality is ok, but not the best..

anything better than that for picture quality? dont care if its free or not i know how to use the internet properly :)

btw, pspvideo9 takes like an hour and half to convert a movie aswell ... so long.. i want a faster converter aswell if possible :)

    thanks all

try using jMEnc2 to convert. i've gotten good results from it. but an hour
really isn't all that long for converting an entire DVD.
