Unless you know how to cut down a dvd-r
and format it in the umd file format

I doubt any one has done it

I belive sony uses blueray for its format

If your a real genuios a sony dvd-r should work

I woudnt bet on this being real though

lol... no, this wouldnt work because its like sticking a dvd in a cd player. the disc is the wrong physical format so it just wont work. do you guys know how cds, dvds, and umds work?

its like this... when the disc is "burned" the lazer cuts microscopic notches into the disc. how far apart these notches are spaced is how you determine the type of disc.

normal CD's have the farthest apart spacing, which is why you can fit the least amount of data/music on them. DVD's are next with over 4 times the amount of compression of the "notches", so since more notches are on the disc more data can be fit on there.

UMD's have a different spacing for the notches then DVD's and CD's do. thats why when you take apart a UMD like the sampler disc, and you place it in a cd/dvd drive on your computer it doesnt read it. the lazer that the cd/dvd drive uses isnt fine enough to read those notches or the data that the notches equal.

i hope my "little" explaination of how CD/DVD/UMD's work let you realize why a mini dvd just wont cut it. (IT WILL NOT WORK!!!)

    Yo-ho.. yo-ho.. a pirates life for me...
