What difference is there between memory stick Duo and Pro Duo's?
I originally thought it was a size difference, now i just saw an image that made me rethink that :/

I heard that the only difference is the read speed and price. While there are a huge difference in memory sticks prices, the regular ones are slower during loading and the Duos are much faster...That is what I heard.

Also you can convert MP3s onto a MS Pro Duo into atrac3 types and shrink the sizes of the MP3's in half using SonicStage but if you try to do this on lets say your regular MS Duo then it won't let you for some reason. Theres some thing inside the Pro Duo's that tell Sony's sonicstage it's a Pro I guess..

Memory Stick Duo doesn't have Magic Gate technology and Pro Duos have Magic Gate.

basically a chance for sony to fuck u up the ass. it lets sony products access special features like atrac3 plus and stuff. if you do atrac3 plus, then you will have to have a license for all of your files or you will only be able to write them once. like i made an atrac3 cd and could never make it agan cuz i didnt have the license.

Magic gate is just a brand name sony came up with it basicly means that if something has Magic gate on it, it will work in sony's playstation hardware. I read about this went the PS2 came out and was wondering what magic gate meant on the M-card, I read that it means the above in the official sony mag.
