It seems as if sony added the game section for no reason at all (that i know of). The one and only use I've ever heard it being used for was homebrew. Now i'm not one of those kids doin' all that hacking stuff i just reap off of everybody elses finds and try to use them (I've currently only succeeded in ummm.... nothing). But back to what I was saying... the game section (before HB) was just empty space on my PSP. Then my friends got on this site and saw the update with the browser and talked me into updating which was easy cuz when i heard internet on PSP I was amazed. Then later i found out there was homebrew, and i was then also amazed. then i had found out about downgraders a little while after and on the sites itr said " 2.0 to 1.0 downgraders" and "2.0 to 1.5 downgraders".
At that point I had already updated to 2.6. And now I'm thinking to myself "If I can't have homebrew, then what can i have?" and so i searched everywhere and all i got was homebrew and porn(Google). If somebody knows why sony put the game section on the PSP please tell me.........or if everybody knows but me (which is usually the situation) then don't be harsh because if goin off on retards is all you have to do you should definatley just get a hammer and introduce it to your face.

I don't really know the origional reasons for them putting the game section there since it's empty but... They plan on making a "PSP Online Downloads" thing where you can download game demos, etc if you upgrade to what I believe will be 3.00 and without homebrew.

Now this might seem appealing to some but it's really bullshit because when it's released expect only 1-3 demo's availible for the first weeks but whats WORST of all is they plan on charging a monthly charge for that shit.

You can either stay with the PSP version you got and play FREE homebrew on your 2.6 if you own GTA or you can upgrade and play some PSP demo's for a monthly fee. (I read Sony's starting it at $10 a month)

It's been a month or so so I can't quite remember lol It could of been here or somewhere else but I clearly remember it was a copy of a news article somewhere else. They said Sony was going to charge monthly (they said $10 a month) for a download service for the PSP simuliar to the ones for video ipods. They said besides game demos you'd be able to get some type of video feeds too. I sort of lost interest once I read the $10 a month thing lol But I also remember reading it 2 different places it might of been here and psp3d but I could b wrong I think I was pretty baked both times... lol

o I found a more recent little news thing article I dunno if I'm allowed to post the link so heres what it says:

Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong (SCEH) have announced that they will begin to provide a download service for the PSP in Taiwan starting on March 21st.

There will be a monthly fee charged to users to access the service, but the downloads will not incur an extra fee for downloading. The content will include animated cartoons and music, with ISP Sony Network Taiwan (So-net) supplying the service.

Whether or not this will be available to other countries as well in the near future is unclear as of yet. However in the UK there is already a similar service on www.yourpsp.com, which allows free downloads, and no monthly fee.

Your right! The only time I had fun playing a demo was a "online demo" for like a mmorpg. I remember good old Meridian59 (the first graphical online RPG) it had a demo where you could only play in a special demo area that sucked major ass but the best part was logging onto 20 temp characters at the same time and put "Guide" in front of the name and watch as all your characters are sent to hell.( a timeout box that made it so u couldnt speak to players in the real game which was pointless since u couldnt in the demo anyways).

    Ooo those were the days....

Demos are the reason that I'm going to download Half-Life 2 as soon as I buy a new video card. >:(

You know if that happens and Sony releases demos for download people are just going to extract them from there PSP to thier computer and post it all over the internet. So unless Sony puts a lock on the demos or makes it so you have to access them through the internet like RSS Channels. What Sony should do is make demo UMD's like JamPacks except for the PSP and you could get em' in the mail.
