Thread: How to know if PSP firmware has been updated or a factory firmware?

    My psp is model PSP-1004 G1 - WS259 G - Datacode 5D....

    The firmware in is 2.60

    I buy a used PSP and the old owner does know if the original firmware is 2.6 or a updated to 2.6

    Sorry for my bad english....

    if its black, downgrade anyways. mine came with version 2.5 and didnt have the motherboard of DEATH. and i downgraded. and now i have like 6 different iso's running.

    I don't think it matters if your PSP is factory or not. They only say that because most factory 2.5 and 2.6 PSPs had the TA-082 mainboard, which doesn't allow downgrading at the moment. I would try it, personally, but perhaps you should wait until you get an expert opinion.

    if ur mobo doesnt say that IC1003, then ur good to go
