OK so I am getting a 2.6 PSP that was originally 2.0, so I want to downgrade it to 1.5, but my question is, is the easy downgrader have the FINAL version of the 2.5/2.6 downdater or the beta/ bricker version? Also what Memory Stick would be safest to use it with and what is the chance of brick. Also do I need the A/C plugged in or can I downdate by "testing" it in the game store?

ok, but does the FULL easy downgrader work also that is in the Downloads section of this site? And my PSP was originally 2.0 so it cannot be a TA-082.

Im just now finaly downgrading my brothers PSP. Its a 2.6 I think. We both got ours at launch so were safe with the
TA thing. Kind-of neveous though. If I brick his, he gets mine.:/

The one I got was a Giga Pack one and it orignally had 2.0 firmware so I am also safe with the TA thing. I don't think anyone has brick though. Better not brick mine.

the downdater definitely works, it both worked on JAP and US 2.6 factory installed fw's, i just downgraded mine yesterday..it just took about 7-10 mins...i also used the 32mb that came with it + an old version fo gta:lcs....just make sure that the mobo is not the ta-082..... =)

Do I have to have the A/C adapter a.k.a. charger plugged in or can I go to a game store and "try" out the game to downgrade?

I got mine in Feb. 06 in Asia and it was FW 2.0, but it has a I00C3 (or what ever the code is) on the motherboard...
