I just got a 4GB Ultra II Pro Duo memory stick today but when I load stuff onto it the transfer speed is exactly the same as my Sony 1GB card (non pro duo). Im transfering with a USB cable through my PSP but wouldnt it still be faster? Please let me know what to do to make this card transfer files faster. Thanks!

It's not the stick, but the speed at which the PSP can write things to it. For the full transfer speed you should use a USB memory stick adapter and then insert it into your PSP.

Yeah, that or any USB adapter that can handle high-speed cards. For the double posts, log out and then back in - it ought to fix it.

Ah, it's likely a Pro Duo to Pro adapter - that's so the smaller Pro Duo stick will fit in most card readers. You'll need a USB card reader to use it with your computer, they're easily found in most electronics stores.

Sorry for all the the noob questions about this lol. I just have one more question though. Would I need to get a card reader for the adaptor or the memory stick? I dont know which one would fit into a card reader.

No the card reader is for the adapter you got, the stick used in the PSP is too small to fit in most card readers. There are some card readers that take the PSP's one but they're harder to find.

There are many card reader in the market that support the memory stick pro duo format. Get the usb 2.0 card reader and you should get about 14MB/s read speed and 9MB/s write speed. I have a ultra II 4 GB card as well. I can transfer 600MB ISO file in about 1 minute!! Its so far the fastest way that i know
