i saw on a few forums that when u send it to sony, they reflash it with a machine and they can restore nandflash, so maybe if someone could obtain one of these machines or something that could reflash it, couldnt we save psps? or somone with lots of parts could make some sort of program that reflashes? maybe?? yes? no?

    My psp history: First US release day of psp 1.5, 2.0, 2.6, 2.71, 2.80, Traded, 2.0, 1.5, 3.02OE-A, 3.02OE-B, 3.03OE-C, 3.40Oe-A, SLIM- 3.90m33-2

Believe me, this has been thought of before, however to date (and the best of my knowledge), no one was successful. If this is incorrect, everyone has every right to correct me.

Maybe, but I don't think anyone's gonna go to the effort of trying to get one of those machines - a mod chip is a lot easier to make.

Also, the replacement / updated flash chip would also need soldering...

It would be awesome if someone could make a flashing machine but it would be hard also mod chip are rubbish as you have to solder one miss placed solder and say good bye psp.
