i was thinking of doing the tape-mod i saw on gamefaqs SFA3MAX forum. here it is....

I found my artist's tape (very similar to masking tape) and layered it five times. Then I took a hole puncher and punched out 4 holes. With those holes I just stuck them behind the d-pad in the 4 directions so that they line up with the circles on the rubber piece inside the psp. Now, everything works out fine for me, plus I don't have to use glue, because I'm afraid of permanent disasters.

so i wanna ask if any of you did this mod and does it work?

i wanted to do this mod because since the beginning, the up and down buttons of my d-pad is not really responsive, in fact, it requires me to press QUITE HARD in order for the psp to register it.

and today, i was playing b-boy and many moves requires me to press the up button 3 times which i cant with normal force.. so..... any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. :D

1god1king, that mod is not what im talking about... i heard that it screws the d-pad if you use the mod you posted, like you press up, the psp will register it as up-right..

this is what im talking about, links provided by the user at gamefaqs

this shows which screws to take off. green is good, and red is bad (well, not bad just unnecessary).

this is just a quick picture of what i mean about punching holes out, just in case someone didn't get it. also, i did layer the tape 5 times the first time. i now did 6 layers because i like my psp that much more sensitive. EDIT: i had to re-open my psp, because 6 turned out to be way too much. i'm staying with 5 layers of tape.

and this picture is just showing where to stick them behind the d-pad, not the rubber piece. hope the pictures help. any questions, just ask any one of the many people here who have modded their psp.
