    Today is the 20th and it says on that link you give it coming out on the 19th and as it's the 20th today it means that info on that link is fact.

    From what I've read, they anounced fw 3.0 Today, oct 19. But its not sceduled to come out till Nov. 12 or 13 I believe.

    Sony PSP Firmware New Features:

    - Macromedia Flash support for the internet browser, so more sites, and games are playable

    - Agenda for PSP owners to write their tasks and schedule%u2019s

    - Notepad so users can write

    - MPEG1 and MPEG2 support for Video's

    - BMP support for Photo's

    - WAV, WMA, support for Music

    - Rename option for files

    - Receive and Transfer option to get and send files (e.g. Firmware Versions, Photo's, Music, Video's, and Game Save's) to other PSP's, like the Photo transfer, but for Video's, Music, and Game Save's to

    - Paint so user's can create custom backgrounds while on the go

    - AM/FM Radio

    - Alarm Clock

    - Calculator

    - PSP Lockup system lets users put a password to startup their PSP's, they can Enable or Disable this option, and after a chosen period of time, it locks up and to use it again you have to put your password, unless the option is disabled.

    - You can enable or disable the feature of UMD disk opening on startup

    - Sony PSP Camera Feature support

    - Java Support

    - Securtity Patch

    - Custom PSP Screensaver [enable or disable option]

    - Custom music for startup [max timing 30 seconds]

    - Timer



    The update will be out for PSP owners in the middle of November.
