Well thats it, Its been a fun and enjoyable......... 1 month.

But today, My PSP no longer turns on.

Flick the switch and there is a green power light, no memory stick activity and not even the backlight coming on :(

Which means its a return to sony job and I doubt I am lucky enough to get a non ta-082 (although I am considering sending it in with the skin still on it to see if they give it to me back fixed. but then it will probably be 2.81 or even 3.00 :( :( :(

My other option I guess is to buy another motherboard, but I can't afford the expense.

    goddamn.

I finally updated my sig, can\'t thing of anything decent to put it in though

    :(

Sorry to hear. Did it just happen by itself, without any flashing or stuff?
There's a slight possibility that it might be fixed without a motherboard change... so keep your fingers crossed.

It looks software but I haven't flashed anything since yesterday and then I removed what I did and it had been working like a charm.

Travelled home with it and now its a no go, so my guess is its a hardware fault or something come loose, but I hear no rattling, and I don't want to open it as its only a month old.

I am however now considering a undiluted Platinum chip + fitting (more expensive than mobo), in which case so long as its a loose something or a software fault that will fix it. BUT its a risk as I can't return it to sony if it still doesn't work.

On a side note while on the subject, does the UP allow you to flash both the PSP's internal flash as well as its own flash?

It a good idea to have "Hide extensions for known file types" in Folder Options(under Tool) unchecked (turn on extensions)
