the SE-A made my semi-brick (only ran devhook) into a normal one.
So far, I've switched numerous times, and currently 271-SE-B2, iso support without devhook rules.

Look or my issue before SE here:

(needless to say, its fixed now)

Heh its just that since it adds files, then the reconvery menu should still be there once the firmware gets ripped just speculating I could be wrong, I will test it once I get my 2nd Chipped PSP

Well, not really sure where the cfw is put on the firmware, but it seems like if you messup with gameboots and stuff, it would still be there. However, if you start flashing an official firmware, and decide against it when it has started and turn off the psp, it's most likely already erased or overwritten.

The PSP has to be able to do at least something for it (recovery) to be able to work

It only recovers semi bricks, if you mash your firmware by replacing critical prx files it will nose dive completely

The file that I believe is the core of the firmware is pspbtcnf.txt in the kd folder in flash0

I noticed that it is full of garbage when I dumped the file for rufus thursday of last week, this is in total contrast to just being a simple easy to read plaintext file which you would normally expect. So i believe that is pspbtcnf.txt is the actual custom firmware component that restores your psp if you balls it up :D
I finally updated my sig, can\'t thing of anything decent to put it in though
