why does the psp mod-chip only have 32 mb of memory instead of 128 so we could make some awesome custom firmware?

If you don't know, don't bother posting. We don't need that kind of stupidity here.

I guess its to keep it more in line with the PSP's internal flash?? After all people who develop custom firmwares will have a modchip and they would not want to create a firmware thats not going to work on a standard psp
I finally updated my sig, can\'t thing of anything decent to put it in though

because it was made to enable a second firmware, and since the psp itself only has 32 it was the logical and cheap way to have the same storadge (or would anyone make a firmware only for up users; epsilon was only a bios/extension of 2.71)

Maybe a 128 or bigger chip would be more expensive, and there's a chance it couldn't even fit in a PSP
