Well, with the various new things coming out for PSP (Firmwares, motherboards, ect), it really begs the question, where should the PSP scene be going?

Should it focus on finding a way to downgrade the TA-082/86 PSP's?
Maybe a way to downgrade a 3.x psp?
    PS1 roms without a PS3, perhaps?

I personally think the devs should focus on finding a way to downgrade/work aorund the TA-082/86 PSP's (EG- maybe a CFW that can run on a TA board?), as it won't be long until every PSP sold has those motherboards.

    What are your thoughts?

it should stay where it is and where all hacking scenes go: many devs, each with his own goal and projects. They cant all focus on the same thing, all eggs in one basket leads to failure ;)

    To the moon.

Honestly I think the scene is sort of in trouble at the moment with the numerous options of custom firmwares, different versions of devhook for different firmwares, ect.
It just confuses everyone that has not been in the scene for awhile like myself.
It also makes it harder for developers to make what they want since half the time what they write is not supported by all the firmwares around the scene.

As for the future and what should be focused on I would like to see how the new devhooks turn out.
The HOME menu is a nice addition to .50 even if it is in it's early stages and half the shit don't work.

I don't see anything good coming to ta082 owners anytime soon.
And the psp sooner or later will not need a ps3 to get ps1 games.

I say forget the TA-082 boards, forget the 2.82 upgraders, and work on more 1.50/SE homebrew.
But that is just me being selfish.

I think that they should work on a way to get around the TA-082/86 PSP

No offense chaos but the rate you brick psp one day you wont be able to get a 1.50 / downgradable psp you may have to get a TA-082 board your self then you will wish that you never said forget about the TA-082 boards :P.

The day that happens, I quit, no problems.

//Edit: I rethink that actually. I say try to get the TA-082 downgraders and 2.8x+ downgraders working. Why? The sole challange of just doing it :P

They should go for universal downgrading for every PSP.

Does Sony still make TA-082s?? If not then maybe hacking should concentrate on downgrading the newer firmwares.
