I have been experiencing overheating problems with my PSP lately. I have been playing a dump of a game off of it for endless hours and it started to get hot. I thought it was the battery because I also had it plugged in for a while, but it turned out to be the memory card slot. I'm worried about frying my 4gb stick or damaging my psp. Can anyone tell me if this is a major problem and if I could do something about it( Please don't respond saying play less or stuff like that.)

You sure it's the memcard slot or the Wi-Fi thingy? The Wi-Fi thing can get hot, but I don't think hot enough to cause much damage. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I think it was the memory card slot, but when I checked I had just finished playing infrastructure. I only played for 20 mins or less on infra mode tho.

I'm sure it's the memory card it's self, it's no big issue anyway.

Prolonged use with anything isn't good.

You should take a break for 15 minutes every hour of playing regardless.

Only if you leave it on for like 12 hours straight could it potentially cause a electrical burn on the memory stick itself, which is the same reason a torrent app for the PSP is stupid.
