somehow i think i know why so many ppl still ask noob questions when the regulars claim that tutorials answer their question

simply because of the way the tutorials are written.

from the viewpoint of a person totally new to psp, who doesnt know any of the terms used, any abbreviations, what kind of hacks there are and how they work,

even a thousand tutorials won't help.
the tutorials are written in a way that it expects readers to have a basic knowledge of whats going on...for eg a devhook 2.71 tutorial requires u to know
    1.what devhook is
    2. what 2.71 fw is
3.how does using devhook enable one to play homebrew
    et cetera

from the viewpoint of a person who has been in the forum since the 1.0 days,
understanding newer tutorials is definitely easy,
but for people new to this,to them,
its like a person reading a guidebook on chemistry with zero knowledge of chemistry at all.

sure, no doubt the tutorials provide valuable info,

but is it really useful for people who are new to this?

ps: this is my personal viewpoint.feel free to disagree with me.

They should do some research, it's pretty easy to discover what these abbreviatons mean.
    PSP [EU] ~ 2.01 > 2.5 > 2.6 > BRICK
    PSP [EU] ~ 2.01 > 2.71 > 1.5

Most new people are able to pick things up as they go along, such as going through a tutorial. A very small minority don't read anything and are so clueless I'm surprised they didn't ram the battery into the UMD drive. Trouble is the clueless ones are the most.. vocal ones. Since they are so good at whining we are led to believe that PSP-Hacks is full of noobs, while the opposite is the truth.

I'll name only one person for amusement: PSPBMXKid.

worse: there have been people here that ripped the plastic covering off the UMDs because they thought it was packaging.

@lesbleus: write a tutorial, then. make it good. if it turns out to be really good, it'll get stickied and hopefully others can write their tutorials using the same style.

no. i say let em do it. it's not like anybody can stop em from writing a tutorial, and when somebody writes a good tutorial, it gets stickied. it's just the way things go around here. if it'll help people get into psp hacking more smoothly, then it's a good thing. write the best tutorial you can, lesbeus.

    lol..i'll try...
but if u didnt know, im one of those who still don't quite understand everything even after joining this forum for a week..

i'll see if i can put what i understand so far into words..
but it may need alot of editing though...

no arrogance here but if i really am able to do so then it'll really help people like me who keep asking noob questions

    haha.. =)
