Is it possible to make a custom firmware based on the 2.71 kernal (with HEND enabled) for the TA-082 mobo? I heard somewhere that the 082's need a security signiture on the firmware to run it so I'm assuming that is why this is a no go. It would just be nice to get some custom firmware love for the 082.

Working with the TA-082 boards is very difficult.
When they find a way to downgrade them, custom firmwares should also be possible.

I was just trying to find out if its easier to work with the firmware they already have (2.71) and "edit" it to run homebrew natively, then try to downgrade if it's that hard.
