My little sister got a 2.71 psp for Christmas, and she wanted 2.71 SE-C so I could give her .iso's for some of my games. Unfortunatly, that psp had a TA-82 ( or whatever) and I didn't know that at the time I ran the downgrader, so she got a brick for Christmas. After lots and lots of verbal abuse, I collected the box, instruction book, power cable, and receipt, and went to Walmart to swap it. Unfortunatly, it was another 2.71 with the same motherboard. I was wondering if there was a way I could upgrade a TA-82 directly from 2.71 to 2.71 SE-C, or maybe there is now a working downgrader.

No, unless you're 0okm or Dark_AleX (or someone of that kind).

Basically even though it is 2.71 SE-C it still uses the 1.50 bootstrap or parts of the software. So its not even actually 2.71.

So its impossible...Just stick with HenD and devhook to emulate newer firmware and that will do the trick
