Devhook is no doubt one of the best things to come along in the homebrew community.
Then the SE (now OE) FW is out.

Both allow us to keep the best of both worlds. Homebrew and latest firmware updates.

Just wondering does DevHook have any advantages of OE FW.

I'm assuming DevHook will always emulate firmware faster than it can be made into a CFW.

Is devhook becoming outmoded by OE ? Or will/does it still have a use.

Devhook can test gameboots/mods/etc, but oe has recovery. so.. dunno

OE let's us play full speed PS1 emu
    OE has recovery
OE let us play ISOs from the XMB
OE writes to flash, so it doesn't have to be installed on every mem stick you use.
OE let's you have sony owning rights
    OE is better then devhook

I appreciate the development for Devhook, yet since 3.02OE came out I haven't really looked back. I have everything I wanted and more.

DevHook is far the best homebrew ever made...
but having to put the settings every time I want to play an ISO is a pain in the ass..

Im a happy OE user... :D

The best advantage I can think of for devhook (mainly the older ones) is that you don't need to flash.
It makes it very easy for noobs.

I'd love to see a hybrid of the OE Firmware, and Devhook.

You know, say you had 3.03 OE-B, and when booting, instead of holding down R Trigger for Recovery Mode, you held down the Left Trigger to boot straight to the DevHook menu, or in to an emulated firmware. That'd be pretty nice.

OE > DevHook for many, many reasons.

You don't need devhook if you have OE, ;)

true, but is devhook really being kicked out the way by oe?

devhook has always managed to emulate the fw faster. (even if not perfectly, it gives us a taste of things to come)
