For me it has to be PMP MOD AVC...

Not that there's any difference in video quality but the big difference is in battery usage. PMP MOD AVC only uses 20% battery (IIRC), meaning if you have a large mem stick you can watch movie after movie. It also has a good sound boost (DPad UP) if you are listening with Sony's farty speakers!

Pfft, true cause 3.03 OE-B allows PSX games, whereas PMP-Mod AVC doesn't.

    Otherwise, here's my comparison:
    Advantages of PMP-AVC:
+ Downclocks to 120MHz = longer battery life
+ Volume / luminosity boost feature
+ Support for multiple audio tracks
    + Support for soft subbing
+ No strict audio format standard - basically supports any MP3 audio stream (MP4-AVC is very strict on the audio track, though not so strict on the video stream)
    + Loop feature (useless though)
+ Resume playback even after PSP restart
+ Only way to watch videos through iR Shell (if you're an iR Shell > XMB believer)

    Advantages of MP4-AVC:
    - Easier to get to (for me, it saves about 15secs to get to the XMB player than running PMP-Mod AVC)
    - Support for AAC+ v2 audio stream
    - Player may be a bit easier to use
    - Non proprietary format

*Random Edit to anyone who still wants to look at this list*
    UPDATED

    I still prefer PMP-AVC

    Does PMP-AVC not work with 3.02 or 3.03 OE-A/B?

I did read that post, hence my question. There is nothing in the PMP Mod AVC readme that indicates that it cannot be loaded from the GAME150 folder of a 3.02/3 OE-A/B installation. Additionally they both have different means of playback which further confuses the issue. However the above post does seem to imply that one must choose one over the other. Again, this is why I am asking the question. Please do not mistake my low post count for stupidity or ignorance. It seems there are a great many people here who will reply sarcastically simply because they can, rather than answer an honest question, even if the sarcastic reply takes more of their time than a simple answe would.

Seriously, is there some reason why PMP Mod AVC *won't* run on the latest hybrid firmwares?
