    Sandisk: 128, 256, 512, 1000, 2000, 4000
    Sony: 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000

What does this mean? Sony makes more memory card sizes (you are asking "do the smaller one's matter?")
which is useful for buying to reformat them (so you don't lose anything on the bigger ones)

And 8GB finally it's about time. I want to stick all 13 of my ISO's on them. Anyone else waiting on this? (Ok, Sandisk will top it with a 10GB a month later after release)

i suppose it would have something to do with the fact that sony invented the memory stick. naturally they would've started early on with a 32 meg one.

What is going through Sony's head about now, I wonder... Sony Faculty/Staff members have been seen with their psps running 3.03 OE Firmwares so are they really anal about trying to prevent homebrew through security updates through their new firmwares? It just seems fishy...

I'm just curious as to why. I mean really.. the battery barely lasts long enough to play one movie, and what else do you need 8 GB of storage for unless you're using ISO's?

They've probably realized that no matter what they do, people will still hack their PSP's and download games of the internet. It doesn't matter if people use 1gb or 10gb memory sticks to do it. The only difference is that if they release these huge memory sticks everyone will go ape-poopy over them and pay pretty much whatever Sony wants.
