Ok, I know what the TA-082 mobo is. Atleast I think I know how to identify it. Now, how do you identify a TA-086? What are the differences and how does it affect the downgrading/upgrading to 3.03 OE-B?

My PSP is done already as well as a couple of my friends, but I just realized that I don't fully understand the TA-086 deal and don't want to brick any out of ignorance (out of bad luck is ok, I just hate to mess stuff that could've been avoided).

    Thanks

    I dunno how to identify a TA-086.
But the major set back of that mobo is that it can't be soft downed, according to 0okm. It can however be hard downed.
Not much development has happened on the TA-086. Probably because it's not very widespread at the moment.

According to wikipedia, the only reference and citation they have is from 0okm and at this moment, not much is known about TA-086 except that you can still determine its motherboard is not TA079 by locating the label in the UMD Drive
    PSP History:

    1.50 > 2.50 > 2.60 > 2.70 > 2.71 > 1.50 > 2.00 > 1.50 > 2.71 SE-B
