No, it's like telling your computer to use the harddrive for RAM. Not possible..

PC does use the hard-drive for RAM... its called a page file, its a wee slower than RAM though... lol

    Ever hear of virtual memory?

My computer has 1GB of RAM and 7GB page file space on my hard drive.

And no. Unless hackers use a PRX to do it, the browser won't get better.

    Funny shit..

Anyway it technically should be easily possible, ofcourse coding it would be a whole different story, but if Sony wanted then they could, the acces time is obviously quick enough, and while the data transfer might not be as fast as computer memory, it definetly is fast enough to use it.

You have how large a paging file?!??!?! :o My mind boggles. Assuming you are running a Windows XP/ME operating system, do you know just HOW MUCH damage having a paging file that large is doing to your performance? It must be incredible! The optimum file size for a paging file is 1.5 times, ONE POINT FIVE (!!) TIMES, the amount of RAM you have!! 7Gb isn't even an amusing amount of paging file for a PC with only a mere 1Gb of RAM! Holy crap! And, just so you know, having it on a different partition but the same hard drive as the Windows partition also drastically harms performance, even when the alterative is the PF being on the Windows partition (increases the distance the hard drive head must travel between read/write, wearing down your hard drive but also slowing everything down generally), performance is only increased when the PF is on a different partition AND a different hard drive. However, for Photoshop scratch disks, for example, bigger is always better, UNLIKE paging files!!

OH man, that's a classic! Hey, if I wasn't lazy about such things, I'd throw that to the guys at Bash.org in the form of a makeshift IRC quote. They'd be all over it. Though, a page file certainly doesn't make for good virtual RAM; its a poor platform - read and write speeds are far, far, far, far slower than RAM - the head must move around the disks whereas RAM requires no moving parts.
