    Not sure where to ask this question,so i will try this forum.
    Im new to all this so please excuse my idiot questions.
    Is there any other homebrew game file type besides iso files,as they seem rather large and i can only get 3 or 4 games on my 2gb memory card...thanks

    hombrew is different from PSP games (iso format). Anyways, the iso's can be compressed to save space. The two main ones are DAX and CSO. You can download PSP ISO Compressor and make them smaller.

    homebrew files come in the form 'EBOOT.PBP'. and they normally come in 2 folders, exact names but with one ending with a '%'.
    ISOs are images ripped from UMDs. Compressed versions are known as CSO/DAX/JSO. However, OE FWs are known to only run ISO/CSO, you'd need homebrew apps like DevHook if you wanna go DAX/JSO.
    You can download a ISO compressor from the downloads section, there's a few there
