ok the method is to open their psp and remove the psp backlight (so that u can see the displayer through sunlight) connect the psp with the pc and put in an update like 2.71 or 3.03 and upgrade it? (just make sure u can downgrade it again) i think this method might work but be warned this WILL VOID THE SONY WARRENTY

can anyone try it with a brick psp? (Just dont brick psp in order to try it:))

O please do replace the backlight after the upgrade otherwise u can't see if the psp is still brick or not with out backlight.

No, but it isn't the screen that messes up. It's the boot strap. So why would you be able to un-brick by putting the screen where you can see it? It wouldn't matter seeing it or not.

I got a method. Send it into the brick factory. They produce thousands of bricks each day, so they would know how to "un"brick... right?

Okay, enough with the lame joke:

    i got 2 psp one is 3.03oeb and a 2.00 "brick" psp

the reason i call the2.00 brick is b/c the screen is completely black and no light comes out of it (note i never brick a psp before I just got it from ebay and see what it is lke inside the psp)
as for the brick psp i crick the psp open and remove the backlight and turn the power on WHiLE facing the sun i see the picture or the screen nice and clear that is where i got the idea that this might help

i know the next question is: why didn't i try it?
well i was tire of it and take it to the chinatown in so that they fix it up but things just dont go that well. (what happen to the poor psp is another story)

Seems like this would only work on those TA-082 PSPs that "bricked" when downgraging using the early (2.71)TA-082 downgrader.... Pressing the brightness button would also "unbrick" these PSPs... And it a HELL of a lot easier!

Edit: Not sure if the new 3.03 Downgrader has the same effectg on the backlight as the 2.71 did.. I believe it was some side effect of the change made to idstorage
