Doubt the PSP could handle many PS2 games.

Assuming it's possible, I highly doubt they would do such a thing:
    1) The PS2 is still being sold (well, so is the PS1, but not that many people buy it), and thus, they can still get money from PS2 sales
    2) It will most likely get hacked just like the PS1 emulator.

The PS2 is still selling higher than the PS3.

thats cuz there is more then 7 ps2's out in the world... we were told that AAFES (store for us military folk) would only have 1,000 of em for ALL of their overseas bases. including the ones at war or like korea/germany

That's because they're probably going cheap now that ps3 is out and nobody wants to blow a grand on a console. :sigh:

The only feasible way Sony can recoup money is to charge mega money for the console, then after you have bought so many games you get a bunch of the cash back ( obviously have to produce receipts) but again this is open to corruption. Its just the nature of the beast, piracy will never be stopped because reverse engineering will always exist. Secondly, I am sure the amount of PSP owners who legitimately buy games out weighs the number of people who fiddle the system, Sony surely account for this but it still pisses them off I am sure lol.

    PSP 2.70 > 2.71 > 1.50 > 2.71 SE-C > 3.02 OE-A > 3.03 OE-C
    Sony MS Pro Duo 2GB x 1
