Yup new PSP demos look like they are gonna start coming with DRM protection

I've just downloaded Toca race driver 3 demo, which includes 3 files

    EBOOT.PBP
    manifest.drm
    rd3demo.drm

BTW rd3demo.drm is the main game file 19MB
    EBOOT is 3.25MB
    manifest.drm is 19 bytes

    What are your thoughts?

WTF? Why would Sony put DRM on Demos? That's dodgey...

I thought they want people to share Demos - maybe it's a ploy to try and force people to download from the original site, or maybe it's a protection feature?

Or maybe its a test for future retail games?

Of course a modified firmware can and will be able to bypass this and anyone with half a brain wont upgrade until such a firmware is released.

before we start discussing this, can some try opening the demo in UMDGen to see if we can still edit the files, so it can be saved as an iso
