On January 24th I sent another one of my psps off to mod chip store.com for modchip installation service and Have't seen it back yet. Last time I heard from them they said they would be able to get me more information yesterday because they will be talking to the installers then. I haven't recieved any information since then. Do you think I should take them to court for theft?

Read all the information they sent you, or you have read, about how
long they may need to keep your PSP before taking their asses to court.
If it does go past the time they said then warn them that you are
prepared to take them to court before you actually do. If you do
take them to court think of the consequences it would have.

They sell you amazing mod-chips and support more consoles than
anyone else and have a good reputation. You take them to court
and they lose that rep abd lose money. Then other people who need
chips may not be able to get them. Taking to court should be the
    last thing you ever consider.

I don\'t give a crap about your firmware history

It hasn't been 3-4 weeks yet, has it? Those would also probably be in business days, so 15-20 business days... It has only been 17 business days NOT including the time it took to get to them, I would say it has been ~3 weeks, but it DOES say 3-4 weeks. Give them more time, you seem to have 2 chipped PSPs already, sometimes there are delays and that is life.

That's completely possible with any homebrew compatable psp.

Anyway, It's a delicate process, your not the only one who's send off for one, its a trustworty website by my knowledge - many sites link to it. Postage should be quick - first class return. I'd just keep trying to contact them, thats seriously long time to wait. Then again, i waited weeks and weeks for a Trogdor T-Shirt...

This occured to me while I was at work. Since it's President's Day weekend they may be off work. That's why they haven't responded.

Well, when your psp had the official 2.81 firmware when you bought it and there is no way of getting to any custom firmware (at the time I sent it), the only thing you can do is put in a modchip.
