Does running at 333MHz shorten the lifespan of the psp cpu?Apart from that the only other drawback I can think of is shorter battery life and psp might run abit hotter. Can anyone add to this?

    As far as I know:

    Pros:
Faster PSP, including faster web browsing
    Faster Gamming
Anything that uses CPU is faster basically

    Cons:
Hotter battery, PSP turns off at a certain temp to protect itself but not sure how hot
Slightly loader "whiring" noises, only noticable in deadly silence

    Unproven:
May shorten CPU lifespan, although this is not proved but a lot of CPUs lifetime shortens the faster they run.

I don\'t give a crap about your firmware history

Even if it does shorten lifespan thats not something to worry about is it?

They last for years and years so might be a difference of lasting 20 years rather than 25!

If you're worried about your CPU burning out at its certified maximum speed, you know nothing about electronics and should go cut yourself.

The only "cons" of running at 333MHz are:

    - Shorter battery life (roughly 2/3 as opposed to at 222MHz)

    - TA-079 and TA-081 PSPs may become slightly warm on the left side when playing online at 333MHz. Mine has never gotten to be uncomfortable, and I have played for several hours at a time at some points online with no ill effects, aside from a slightly sore wrist.

Sorry I thought it's stock speed was 222MHz;)
