So I know that the red memory sticks are for "gaming" supposedly. Blue ones are standard. And if there are any other colors, I haven't bumped into them.

My question is, are the red memory sticks really noticably better for gaming, ISO, homebrew, etc? Or is the red version just the same as blue but marketed as "better for gaming"?

I've never used the red one, but it has faster transferring speed.

and the blue one is the one I'm using, not much different in game play but the transfer speeds are slower.

Those released by Sandisk and has the words 'Compatible with PSP' will be the ones with the fatest transfer speeds. Also, the file system on the memory stick does affect the transfer speed as well (FAT/FAT16 is faster than FAT32)
