Is there a way to boot into devhook on startup by holding a button?
I'm on 3.03OE-C and I'm wondering if there is a way to boot into
Devhook on the hold of L or another button. Is there a way?

Yeah in recovery mode/configuration you can auto run program at /PSP/GAME/BOOT/EBOOT.PBP

You will have to make the BOOT folder in PSP/GAME and then place the devhook EBOOT in the boot folder

    Autoboot doesn't work in 3.03OE-C

EDIT: plus I don't want to autoboot into devhook. I wan to go to the XMB
like normal, but If I hold a certain button then I will enter Devhook on
    boot up.

    here the read me
CFW AutoBoot Plugin v0.3.5 by Kajo5
    ***********************************
    February 6th 2007
    *****************

This plugin should work with any custom firmware including 3.10 OE-A!

    Changes v0.3.5
    **************

    *Improved Compatibility.

*Added .prx version of the plugin.

*Removed configurable loading paths (but still hex editable).

    Usage
    *****

This plugin is used to launch a homebrew on startup or go to the XMB by pressing the
L trigger or not pressing anything.

    Install
    *******
There are two folders one is XMB and one is No XMB. If you want L trigger to load a homebrew
and no press to go to the XMB open the XMB folder.
If you want both L trigger and no press to load a homebrew open the No XMB folder.
There are two versions of the plugin. One is a .prx plugin and one is an .PBP file.
Choose the one you like or the one that works with your custom firmware.

    1.PBP version
    *************
Open the PBP folder and put the EBOOT.PBP file in ms0:/PSP/GAME/BOOT/EBOOT.PBP.
If you chose the XMB folder put your homebrew in ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/AUTOBOOT/EBOOT.PBP.
If you chose the No XMB folder put the L trigger homebrew in
ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/L_AUTOBOOT/EBOOT.PBP and the no press homebrew in
    ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/AUTOBOOT/EBOOT.PBP.
Enable the ms0:/PSP/GAME/BOOT/EBOOT.PBP autostart option from the recovery menu.

Please note that you can easily change the homebrew paths by a simple hex edit.

    2.PRX Version
    *************

Open the PRX folder and put sys_boot.prx and vsh.txt file in ms0:/SEPLUGINS/.
If you chose the XMB folder put your homebrew in ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/AUTOBOOT/EBOOT.PBP.
If you chose the No XMB folder put the L trigger homebrew in
ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/L_AUTOBOOT/EBOOT.PBP and the no press homebrew in
    ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/AUTOBOOT/EBOOT.PBP.
Enable the plugin the recovery menu.

Please note that you can easily change the homebrew paths by a simple hex edit.

It a good idea to have "Hide extensions for known file types" in Folder Options(under Tool) unchecked (turn on extensions)

I'm having some trouble with it.

In the XMB option and with the PRX version it says:
If you chose the XMB folder put your homebrew in ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/AUTOBOOT/EBOOT.PBP.
But no matter what I put in there when I boot I hold L and the screen stays black
then the PSP shuts off. So it definitly worked, just pointing at the wrong folder.
