I got a PSP that can be turned on through the power adaptor (when it is plugged in through one)

But if there is no power adaptor yet a functional battery is in it with 100% charge, it does not turn on.

Its 2.71 and has never been down/upgraded before.

What do you think the problem is, and what is the best resolution?

might be something wrong with the battery

find someone else who has a PSP, and try their battery

also, post in the Help section next time, not the General

well then I reckon it must be the PSP itself.

if it is less than a year old, send it in to Sony, because it will still be under warranty.

Warning: They may send back a 3.11 PSP if you send it to them. 3.11 is not yet downgradable, so if you want homebrew, I suggest you don't send it in.

If I send it to a Sony Store, they don't fix it right there?
