Has anyone sent their PSP to a third party repair shop that specializes in ELECTRONIC repairs?

I suspect my PSP has a problem with the connection between the PSP and battery thus only allowing the PSP to run when a adaptor is in it.

So I think a simple soldering or switch of wires should do.. is this complex?

Anyone get their PSP totally fucked over by a third party repair shop?

Well if that's what's wrong why not open your PSP up yourself ?
Rather then to have some greasy punk to it for you you can easily fix most of your PSP problems.
Just open it up and see what's wrong.

I'd send it to the repair shop because to work on the psp you have to have special solder and soldering irons (low power, .5 mm tip) or the heat from a regular soldering iron will curl the traces, thus ruining it.

Yeah but I have those things.
I tend to work with cellphones a lot. besides you can fix most of your problems without those things all you need is S1 of MacGyver and a pencil and bubblegum.

I sent my PSP to a third party repair shop because my wi-fi was fucked up and they wanted to change the whole MOBO

And? What was their reasoning? Did you let them?

    What was the end result?

Ok, you are on a 3rd party hack site right now, and you've been fine with your psp, so why not trust a 3rd party repair that'll keep your psp at oe?
